ይድረስ ለምዕመናን ሁሉ
የመንበረ ጸባዖት ቅድስት ሥላሴ ካቴድራል በ1924 ዓም በንጉሡ በአፄ ኃይለ ሥላሴ አማካኝነት ተመስርቶ የግንባታው ሥራ ተጀምሮ እንዳለ በ1928 ዓ/ም ጠላት ሀገራችንን በመውረሩ ምክንያት ሥራው ተቋርጦ ቆይቶ እንደገና ከስደት መልስ እንዲቀጥል ተደርጐ ውብና አስደናቂ በሆነ አሠራር ተሠርቶ ከምስረታው ቀን ጀምሮ ስንቆጥር ለ88 ዓመታት ያህል ለምዕመናኑ አገልግሎት ሲሰጥ ቆይቶ አሁን ያለበት ደረጃ ላይ ደርሷል፡፡
በመሆኑም በአሁኑ ሰዓት ከፍተኛ የሆነ ዕድሳት የሚያስፈልገው መሆኑን በባለሙያዎች ሀሳቡ የተገለጸ ስለሆነ ሥራውን በአፋጣኝ ለማሠራት ያስችለን ዘንድ የካቴድራሉ አስተዳደር ሰበካ ጉባኤው በቃለ አዋዲው ደንብና ሕግ መሠረት ቀደም ሲል እራሱን የቻለ የሕንፃ ዕድሳት አሠሪ ዐቢይ ኰሚቴ በማዋቀር ልዩ ልዩ ሥራዎችን በመሥራት ላይ ቆይቶ በቅርስ ጥገና ሥራ ላይ ሙያ ያላቸውን መሐንዲሶችን በማሳተፍ እንዲሁም በሀገሪቱ ካለው የቅርስ ጥበቃ ባለ ሥልጣን መ/ቤት ጋር ምክክር በማድረግ በቅድሚያ የሚያስፈልገውን እድሳት በማጥናት የዋጋ ፍጆታውን ሁሉ በማውጣት እንዲያቀርቡልን ወደ ጥናቱ መርሃ ግብር ላይ ኰሚቴው ተሰማርቷል፡፡
ስለሆነም ለምዕመናኑ የምናሳስበው ይህን አስደናቂ ሕንፃ አባቶቻችን ያቆዩትን ለትውልድ ለማስተላለፍ የሚቻለው የቅርስነቱ ይዘት (ጥንተ ግብረቱ) ሳይለቅ ባለበት ዕድሳት ለማድረግ እንድንችል ከጥናቱ ጐን ለጐን የገንዘብ የአሰባሰብ ሂደቱን ከወዲሁ መጀመር ስላለበት ከጠቅላላው ፍጆታው አንድ አራተኛውን እንኳን በመያዝ ሥራውን ማስጀመር እንድንችል

The Holy Trinity Cathedral was established by his Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I in 1931, the initial construction coincided with the Italian fascist invasion of Ethiopia in 1936, and consequently completion of the building was delayed. Subsequently, after the Emperor returned from exile the construction continued and was completed with attractive decorations.
Meanwhile, the Cathedral has been used for spiritual services for the last 88 years without any renovation. Recently a series of meetings and discussions were held with stakeholders, clergy, and government authorities, this included management staff and civil engineers, and the aim was to evaluate the cost of renovation and to inform the management appropriately.
It is necessary to have accurate reliable information concerning financial matters in order to start the renovation work. The head of management needs to be well informed in order to pave the way, and to ensure that all the renovation work is done according to the regulations and order of the Church. Therefore, what we would like to communicate to the fellowship of believers and friends of the EOTC, that we need to make efforts to pass on this marvelous Cathedral to coming generations intact without changing any aspects of its original architecture.
Besides publicizing the construction studies, we would like to organize a telethon in the course of which we aspire to collect one quarter of the funds required for the renovation of the Cathedral. We encourage you to donate to the renovation of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, through
